Okay. One interpretation of the question is that you have a IIgs
with a 65C816 running at 2.8MHz with a 68xxx (clocked to run at 2MHz)
math co-processor board plugged in. Assuming that "faster" means "gets
the job done more quickly", I guess that in some number-crunching
applications which took full advantage of the NCU board, the GS system
might be faster.
If your 2MHz 68xxx board handles some other task-- e.g. telecom
I/O-- the GS would, again, acquire an automatic advantage vs. the //c+
for a specific task area.
For most applications which can run on a //c+ or a IIgs, the 4MHz
//c+ is going to be "faster" than an unaccelerated IIgs.
