     It is relatively easy to over-clock a PC because, aside from
jumpers you can diddle on the motherboards, some important subsystems
(like video cards) have their own clocks.

     The GS provides no easy way to separate clocking for its numerous
speed-dependent subsystems. Cutting traces, splicing in logic IC's,
modifying firmware, etc. might get base system speed up a couple MHz
without involving major substitutions and redesign of whole sub-systems.
Basically, it isn't worth the hassle.

     The easiest way to increase speed (e.g. x3-x4 or so) is to just
plug in an accelerator card. If you want a really Big speed increase,
the best approach is to let the GS serve as the 'front end' for a
high-performance add-on module.
