If you have a cable modem with static ip the iMac will work with it;
there's no reason for it not to. If you use Roadrunner or something that
uses dynamic ip addressing then you will most likely need to get special
software from them to make the system work with that. Otherwise, with a
cable modem just pretend you are on an ethernet because that's how it
works; no different.
