Maybe it READS faster, but it definitely doesn't WRITE faster.

Perhaps the best option for file transfer in each direction is to use
the "native" file system on the source machine, and the foreign file
system on the destination machine.  :-)

My main concern (which I forgot to mention in my previous post, and
Mitchell has now pointed out) is the lack of HFS volume repair utilities
on the IIgs.
