In my experience, using HFS all the time for sneakernetting gives the best
results. I never had the can't-recognize-an-800K problem which Nathan used
to bellyache about endlessly. No need to worry about filename conversion
since HFS is a lot more forgiving as well.

These days there isn't much of an excuse to not have at least an old Plus
or SE on hand. You can get a superdrive SE for $50 tops now. You can network
it to your IIgs and use it for HFS volume repair too.
