Update.

Apple SW Licensing has talked to the Imaging Group and has said that
it is too much effort.  They pointed me to Cannon and HP!

This is good because if they didn't change the page description
commands, it would mean that existing drivers could already be used
(has anyone tried?).

I have asked for a list of Apple -> HP/Cannon printer models and I
will go ask those companies.
