I want a serious software development system for the IIgs. A good C++
compiler with a source code debugger which lets you see the contents of
variables as the program runs, etc, online help for all Toolbox calls,
online documentation for everything, particularly error messages, with
built-in support for creating programs for 6502, 65C02, 65816, 65832
processors, a good graphics editor which lets you create icons, sprites,
mouse cursors and backgrounds for use in the program, and a ditto sound
editor. And some integrated libraries for doing things that now require
separate programs would be nice as well. You know, such as !HELP!, the
help screen creator.
Or, to be more concise:
- C++ compiler, like, say, Borland C for the PC
- complete browsable Toolbox reference, like Borland C has for Windows
- source code debugger, a bit like Borland C has
- well, you get my drift.
