Port speed is 230 kiloBITS per second, async transmission mode. All
information is passed around in packets, so you can subtract at least
10% for protocol overhead, collisions, etc. Also, Appletalk is a
'noisy' protocol like IPX where machines constantly announce their
presence, which can induce extra load on a setup with many machines.
