Sorry if I sound like a newbie...
I just downloaded a program, and when I unshrunk it, the main module
turned out to be an EXE file, not an S16 file. Now the Finder doesn't
know how to run it and there is no documentation available. So now my
question is: how do I run an EXE file?
Now, I think I need to clarify some points in order to avoid an
avalanche of stupid answers.
1) No, I do not mean an *.EXE file. I know the difference between Apple
IIgs programs and MS-DOS programs. According to the Finder, the fletype
is unknown, but several file utilities tell me the file is of type EXE.
2) Yes, I do remember that you could use the APW shell to run these
kinds of programs, but alas, I do not own APW. Silly, isn't it?
3) Yes Nathan, I did indeed write "download", but that does not
automatically mean that is is a pirated version of a commercially
available program. In fact, it's freeware.
