The above is interesting news; but, it is rather vague. For
example, you do not specify which classic Appleworks version or versions
(e.g. classic Appleworks version 2, etc.) was the subject of the delist
requests, which site(s) the requests were made to, who made the
requests, and whether or not the delist requester was the copyright
owner.
You have an opportunity, here, to be specific about all of the
above.

Evidently, Beverly is willing to take her chances.
It would take maybe 5 minutes for the copyright owner to send an
email. Now that everyone is familiar with the correct procedure for
having software removed from an Apple II archive, what harm is there in
complying with Beverly's request?

When it comes to Apple II support, SQC has been "past the end" for
quite a while. (Has SQC ever listed any Apple II products on their web
site?) The only evidence of the least Apple II interest has come from
Gina in her role as an SQC spokesman. Gina gave it a good try; but, it
appears, she was never able to get any help from the rest of SQC.
