Here's a question, is it possible to reproduce the error bell
(that crisp "bonk" sound) the Apple IIgs makes using an Apple IIe?
The unique GS "boink" (all 15 pitches) is certainly not produced
by the Ensoniq chip, but it is very different from anything I've
heard come out of any stock 8-bit Apple II.

Is there some special charateristic about the IIgs that allows
it to make that sound? I've wondered and asked that question for a
number of years, yet never got a straight answer.
