Why don't we just simply ask Apple for use of the ROMs and explain
<<exactly>> what we want to do with them. We don't have to make it 'built-in',
but simply make an extension which will seamlessly patch through IIGS apps and
when that is not possible it would be presented in a resizeable window. We
could even make a control panel so that one could control IIGS functions
through the MacOS control panel.
What we need to do is simply explain to Apple that what we want is to make
IIGS applications available to the MacOS, nothing more. And, if you're all
willing, we could do this free of charge. I'm willing to lend all the help I
can to such a project.
