Well, to tell you the truth I'm mainly working on Bernie (Bernie ][ The
Rescue, the IIGS emulator) with disks images since my real IIGS dosen't have a
hard drive (which I intend to remedy soon). But I've had several problems.
First, I don't seem to be able to start up the emulator with a Hard Disk image
I created, even when I installed the full GSOS on it. I have to start up with
the Install disk and THEN mount my Hard Drive. And I don't think this is an
emulation anomoly, since it emulates the IIGS so well.
And then, I can't seem to make the Install GSOS disk, taken from Apple's own
disk image, work on the IIGS- even though the disk was actually the original,
which was accidenlt earased!
And my last, and most immediate problem, is that I can't seem to start up the
emulator, or the real IIGS, in BASIC, even if I mount a BASIC disk. It seems
to me, though, that the IIGS dosen't read the drive before it displays the
annoying "CHECK STARTUP DEVICE" message.
I just want to program BASIC and save it onto a disk from my real IIGS and be
able to use it on my emulator too.
