I still have a working METAL/ Futurevision BBS. Its latest version,
v4.1b6update5fix2 (:-) works fine. When you download a fresh copy
(ftp.fammed.ohio-state.edu if I recall correct) needs alot modification,
so you NEED TO BE INTO METAL if you want to get a working BBS. Dave
Miller (Anti Matter BBS in the 804 area) also has a running system with
internet email and usenet access. Someone called George Fodi has a
METAL/FV system with FIDOnet as well.
I understand LLuce is supported better, but METAL/FV is free. I've
offered a free copy of my system for quite some time, sent it quite a
few times, and never heard a word from the persons again... :-(
It was great to be a METAL/FV sysop, though it is a pity that there is
so little support for it.
As far as I know someone is working on a GS version (I have an old TC
Wilson version), and the Mac port has never been realized.
