Devin,
you've got a very nice web site and ftp site. I'm really impressed with the
complete and selective collectives and mirrors of all the other Apple II sites
included. The contents and organization of it all are very well done. I'll
bet Tim Meekins would be amazed and pleased to see what's been done and still
seems to be happening with Gno updates, additions and such.
I'll never forget the answer he gave me when I first got together with him on a
visit to his Apt, in FairFax, CA - years ago - to go over the NoiseTracker
codes and I had to ask him why Gno was named Gno and what it stood for. Then
it was called Gno/Me. I don't know to this day if he was serious with his
answer. But, he said it stood for: Gee, no more Orca extensions or something
to that general effect :0
Yet, if I understand it now - Gno does use Orca runtime libs, extensions and
such - please correct me if I'm in error on this! I'm not at all aware of the
use of Gno. In fact - I've never even used it. But, I am interested in
learning more about it, it's future usefulness, and so on.
Question: Any news to relate yet concerning Derek's
efforts with the tcp/ppp bundle, etc. for Gno - it's status or anything at all
related to it - you'd care to share with the A2 Internet public and readers of
this newsgroup?
Cheers,
Tom
