Disk to .PO format???
I got XGS to run. I only have one disk image though (the one that comes
with XGS)
I'd like to convert some of my software to .2IMG format. I did some
searching, and the only way I can figure out how to do DISK--->.2IMG is
like this:
Use DISK2FILE to convert from DISK----->.PO format
Use IMGUTIL to convert from .PO ----->.2IMG format
Now, on the GS side, I use DISK2FILE50, change to PRODOS, 800K, SLOT5,
DISK to IMAGE.
I specify /ZD1 as the pathname for the OUTPUT file.
I watch as the indicator goes from 0%-100% (Its showing INVERSE e
characters, which means there was an error READING the disk. could this
be the problem?)
So, the program is %100 done. I quit to the Finder. I see no IMAGE
files (no files at all) that were created by the Disk2File program.
I have read the documentation for the program from start to finish.
I have tried the program on *2* 800k 3.5 disks, which BOOT fine on my
system!
Any suggestions? Also, I found a place on the net that refers to
ftp://ground.isca.uiowa.edu/2/apple2/Faqs/emul.dsk
ftp://ground.isca.uiowa.edu/2/apple2/Faqs/emul2.dsk
These files are supposed to contain an article that explains how to
convert from DISKS to .2IMG files. The EMUL files are not in the /FAQS
directory.
Any help is appreciated!
