Actually, you can find an Apple II Secific version of the X-10 CP-290, if you look
around.  When I was looking for x10 parts, I found 2 or more sites advertising the
Apple II x-10 kit.

The cp-290 is a serial device.  All that is needed is a serial card, the correct
cables, and software to run it.

Advertisements I have seen bundle different software/cable according to which
computer system you use.
