There are two things you need to be able to modify: Filetype
attributes (filetype and auxtype or "subtype") and Access attributes.
Assuming your computer is a IIgs, you can handle these tasks using Jeff
Hartkopf's File Manager.

File Manager is a New Desk Accessory (NDA) which lets you both view
and modify file attributes such as Filetype, Auxtype, Access, and Date
(Created and Last Modified).

You can discover correct filetype and auxtype of folders, etc. by
viewing these attributes for similar files which are not messed up. (A
folder has filetype $0F and auxtype $0000.) FM's Access option should
take care of letting you get full access priviledges to modify
attributes, delete, etc..

Okay; an email copy will be sent.
