As others have replied, there are ways of switching to DHGR mode.
However there's no single command and any facility to switch within a
program will be supplied by that program.
Dazzledraw, being a DHGR program does the switching for you. So to
answer your curiosity, if you are using Dazzledraw to view pictures
created in Dazzledraw, then you are seeing them at their best.
