Right, MS the almighty "allows" and MS will allow you to upgrade to
Win98 but what you have to pay $89? OK but what's that you say? "You
can't fax with Win98 because Microsoft Fax won't work with 98 but you
can pay for Outlook 98. All the hype comes from people who haven't even
tried Win98 or saw it on a computer. I may want to purchase a computer
not for use on the internet but other work chores but I must swallow
that IE4.0 on the system I buy, So even if I can remove most of that IE,
I can't remove 100% and Microsoft warns on it's Tech Support web site
that removing IE can cause damage to some systems. I such be ALLOWED to
purchase a system with what I do and do not want on it from the
showcase. Imagine purchasing anything else and someone telling you "if
you don't want that on your sandwich just take it off yourself", the
condiments are already soaked into the bread. But this may be a crude
example but it parallels many scenario. Microsoft shouldn't have to
"allow" nothing we the consumers are the ones who "allow". That is why
we allow ourselves to write our congressmen and support the court
actions that are probing the deeper question"Who should be allowed
what?" Remove X to reply.
