First of all, Scott, let me thank you for bringing up the whole subject
of the Harmonie Epson LQ drivers and how those can be used with Canon
BubbleJets and Epson Stylus printers.

It seems to me that the only IIGS owners who should even think about
purchasing one of the Epson Stylus line of printers are those who also own
a Mac or PC, where those printers really excel.

It's the Hewlett-Packard DeskJets that are most compatible with the Apple
IIGS. And, the DeskJets start at just $149 for the 400L model. That model
prints in color, works with all standard GS/OS software, and works with
AppleWorks and other ProDOS-8 software.

Why spend twice as much money to get an Epson, when all you'll get from the
Epson is grayscale on the GS? The only reason, IMHO, is if you are also
going to use that Epson on a Mac or PC, where you can take advantage of its
1440 dpi capability.
