DSK is the standard format for Apple emulators. Its great because it can
handle just about any "wierd" stuff on an apple disk.
Some people will try to tell you that only pirates use .DSK, but dont believe
it. It is a standard. DSK is great because once you download it, all you do is
run it, instead of having to try to unshrink it or un-binscii it.
My favorite emulator is Apple II pc and its available from asimov:
ftp://ftp.apple.asimov.net
you will need to download the ROMs for the apple machines from the same site.
everything is fairly self-explanitory. Technically, you are only supposed to
download ROMS for whatever machine you own, but nobody really cares anymore. I
don't worry about it because I do in fact own two Apple II+s, an Apple IIe,
and a IIc. If you like, I can E-Mail the program to you, but it is fairly
large so be aware! :)
Happy emulating! and let me know if you would like any help with your setup.
