I didn't keep the phone off the hook for a long time, so I don't know
whether it will work or not.
My question was originally badly phrased. What I wanted to know is if it is
possible to connect modem-to-modem with an extension phone cord.
<At this point, one can do the xfer as described.
Unfortunately, very little was described.
I have two communications programs for the Apple iie: Proterm ver 2.1
(1988), and kermit 387 - both dos and prodos. I prefer the kermit dos
version, because my text files are in dos - though I know how to convert
them to prodos.
I've not used the kermit comm. for quit a few years, so it's a problem.
I'm more familiar with the proterm.
I don't know what comm. prog. to use on the pc - win 95. I tried to
communicate with RapidComm Voice, which I use for fax trans & rec., which
receives the cmd.
How ever, It did not work.
Am I completely lost?
Yes
Any help will be much appreciated
