     So, you do not _know_. (Neither do I.)


     Have you wondered why a spokesman for Scantron has not said
anything here? Let's consider some possible explanations:


 A. Perhaps Scantron does not own the exclusive rights to Appleworks
2.x.

 B. Perhaps Scantron owns the exclusive rights to Appleworks 2.x but
does much not care whether or not it is maintained on Asimov.

 C. Perhaps Scantron owns the exclusive rights to Appleworks 2.x, has
requested Asimov to remove it, been refused, and does not feel that the
opinions of Apple II users on the matter are of any importance. 

 D. Perhaps Scantron has so little interest in Apple II products that no
one from the company bothers to monitor the world's largest Apple II
newsgroup.


     If you can come up with another reasonable choice, please add it.
Otherwise, it appears that complaints about the presence of Appleworks
2.0 on Asimov are without any reasonable basis.
