Well, you shouldn't really need that convertor as the VOC has the
Apple Video Expansion Bus (AVEB) connector to allow inputing an RGB
signal into it. It even has a chroma-crosstalk filter enable signal
if you are inputing square pixels.
The problem I have with dealing with this is that Apple documentation
for the past several years has been continually declining. They now
give you the basics but not enough information to do any actual
designs without using trial and error.
I have the Apple Video Overlay Card Developer's Kit which was
originally made available through APDA and now through The ByteWorks
but it doesn't give me any frequency limitations on any of the
signals. If it only supports NTSC frequencies, then the (S)VGA to
NTCS adapter would probably still be needed.
One of these days I'll get around to making a cable to go from my
486's video card to the AVEB connector of the VOC and see what I get
with the different video modes my card supports.
