is really nothing in common (or remotely similar) between those
two machines--except that they both used a 68000 processor. The
two are complete opposites! (it is also funny how an Amiga from

True multitasking, moving graphics around at dizzying speeds and 
inexpensive video editing for one thing).

    If anything, the Apple IIGS was more similar to the Amiga,
even if it didn't quite come up to par in all areas. The Amiga
and IIGS were hacker machines, the Macintosh is, and always has
been, an appliance (I think using a Microwave oven and playing
with a Macintosh are about on the same level of entertainment ;).
No need to flame me, I'm just stating how I personally feel.
