Nope. Works fine on my P636 running OS8.
Now, if I copy something that was aliased to a new volume, and then
delete the original, all of the aliases to the original get broken...
but that is to be expected (since the original item really *is*
gone).
It would be nice to have a "Move to" command (maybe there is, and
I've never found it) that keeps aliases and Publish&Subscribe/OLE
links intact, but generally I think Aliases work a *lot* better
than shortcuts.
That aliases don't work like that for you is faintly disturbing...
have you tried doing a clean install of the system SW (presuming
you've rebuilt desktop, zapped PRAM, etc.)?
