    It's also worth noting the Apple II 3.5 Disk Controller Card, with
SuperDrive attached, will also work in an Apple III (at least according 
to someone I spoke to at WAP. Apparently an SOS driver was written to 
support the device natively).

    I've not tried it in my own Apple III (the SuperDrive controller 
lives permanently inside my IIgs) but it's interesting to know that
it can work.
