NextStep is the OPENSTEP (I'm not yelling, that's how it's written)
implementation for NeXT computers. OPENSTEP is also available for Suns and has
been nuked very recently. This particularly sad because it was very well done.
The OPENSTEP implementation for Suns is called OpenStep.
Rhapsody is based on NextStep. This one is great stuff. People who hate Apple
usually hate Rhapsody as well, regardless of the fact that NextStep/Rhapsody is
one of the few great things that can come across a programmer's life.
(I'm not saying everyone has to love it, just admitting Jobs' employees have
accomplished something useful would be sufficient.)
