Although this question was meant for Scott G, I saw a similar question
about finding the right GEOS driver for the Epson Stylus on the C=
newsgroup, comp.sys.cbm. Intrigued, I did a DejaNews search for
"Epson Stylus" and "ESC/P2". I found tons of information....the short
-- you are right, ESC/P2 is the Epson graphics language that runs the
Epson LQ and Stylus series. There seems to be MANY users of
MANY different computers using Epson LQ drivers to run the Stylus
printers.
I saw this from comp.sys.atari.st (Atari ST newsgroup)....

Hi,
If you could state what driver you need (NVDI? That's Write? First
Word+? Calamus?) it would be easier to help you. Basically, you need a
separate printer driver for each of these programs and you can use an
Epson LQ570, LQ800, LQ100 driver - the first one includes colour. I
think I have some Epson drivers for all of these programs - so if you
know what exactly you need, contact me. Or just browse in your disk
collection - you'll probably find Epson drivers together with your
programs, as really Epson is the most standard printer that exists.

Epson also has a book, the ESC/P2 book, that talks about all
Epson printers since 1980. It says that the Stylus can use the
same drivers as the LQ, but the 8-pin FX driver won't work properly
with a Stylus or LQ.
I don't have a Stylus so I can't test it out myself. If you perform
your test, please post the results. Thanks!
