Thanks to all who replied. The IIGS in question is some distance
away and I will take a notepad along the next time I go to see it.
ROM5 may have just been written in error from memory.
This thing did come with an IBM keyboard wired to a 9 pin "D"
connector. The keyboard also had a female "D" connector added.
Problem is that would only connect to the joystick port and this later
model IIGS would most likely use the Apple ADB keyboard in the
DIN connector 'mouse' port.
Maybe it really is a 'ROM5' hack done by someone but for now it's
part of the unexplained. The mainboard looks original though.
