It should work just fine if you have 3rd party SCSI setup software
like Hard Disk Toolkit or Micronet Utilities or something like that.
Apple's software that comes with the system only recognizes Apple
labled drives that have a special Apple rom on them.  

I've got 2 500 meg drives (internal & external) on a IIsi and a 270
meg quantum in an SE/30.  Just to keep the message on topic, I also
have a 100 meg quantum on my IIgs.
