The Disk ][ and clones are industrial strength compared to a 1541. Take a look
at a disk ][ next to a post1541 commodore drive internally, it is like seeing
Van Damm next to Tara Lipinski. 

Do you remember that software alignment program for the commodore that would
bash the r/w head on the inside track to "bounce" itself back into place? A
classic remedy to prolong that trip to the repair shop.
