No. I think that the people running emulators once had real Apple II.
The people who are really interested in running the latest software,
such as Wolf 3D, have an Apple IIGS.

That's too bad, but it also gives you a new opportunity. You can grab
an Apple IIGS with 4MB or more of RAM and a hard disk and open
up another side of Apple II computing. Games such as Wolf 3D are
now available and the IIGS opens up music programs undreamed of
on older II. It is also a very good word processing computer.

Probably a combination of word processing (AppleWorks), desktop
publishing (GraphicWriter III), hobby internet (Proterm, Spectrum,
Marinetti), and games (Wolf 3D). The GS model is still a good
computer for these tasks. A newer computer can do more, but then
you would also be paying more. It "can be done" on an Apple IIGS
and that is the fun part of it.
