Re: IIGS keyboard

In my opinion, the oldest Macintosh keyboard was the best and I WISH I
could adapt it for the IIgs. The oldest Mac keyboard was beige color,
had a similar keypress-feel to the classic IIe keyboard, and was compact
in size.

If anyone could make a working interface to work with A2, I'd be among the
first wave to use it!

: That keyboard was 'surplus' for a darn good reason: Macs built
: after the Apple IIGS (Mac SE and up) borrowed the much better ADB
: keyboard design from the GS. Only the original Mac and Mac Plus can
: use that keyboard; ask for a Mac keyboard of a more recent vintage:
: ADB.

: You must mean 01 or 3, I hope. Or, that's got custom-burnt ROMs
: and/or is another escapee from Apple's den of even better Apple II
: computers that they ditched.

: Don't bother. Not compatible. The ROM 00/01 motherboard had
: solderpoints and/or connectors to let the //e keyboard plug in, but
: that's a completely different style.
