I just switched on my ROM 3 Apple IIGS (with TransWarp GS accelerator),
and all control panel settings had reverted to default. So at first I
just thought, "Aw crap - I need a new backup battery." Well I set
everything back to suit my preference, and then I did the TransWarp GS's
built-in "Quick Self-Test" and next to "Non-Volatile RAM...." it said "**
Failed ** 1" instead of "Passed". So now I'm confused. Is this just a
problem with my GS's backup battery or is it a problem with the
TransWarp? Does the GS's backup battery power the TransWarp's NVRAM
while it is off? I couldn't find a battery on the TransWarp GS card
itself. Does anyone have either or written documentation on this
problem? The only docs I have on the TransWarp is the cheesy manual that
came with it.
As always, I appreciate ANY help.
Thanks.
