Probably a handshaking problem. Hop down to the local computer store and
get a Macintosh high speed modem cable and use it to replace your current
cable.
Proterm also has trouble when the unix system is busy. If you have the
right cable, try seeing if the problem will go away when the unix system is
less busy.

Make sure when you FTP SHK's that you do so in binary mode. For BSC's,
just cat the file and save the output in the capture buffer as text and then
decode the text file.
