     Evidently, the controller part of the Focus Hard Card drives can
support IDE drives much bigger than 256MB.

     Scott G has described substituting 500MB and larger 2.5" IDE drives
on a Focus card:

Get a 40MB Focus drive from Alltech.  Get an 800MB IDE
2.5" Quantum GO-drive mech from Computer Shopper sources
for pennies.  Replace the original mech with the big
one (VERY easy and self-explanatory, just use a screw
driver).  Low level format, partition, and high level
format.  That's it!
