I see that kind of thing happen frequently on eBay, though usually
among the action figures collectibles. Heck, lately there have been
several auctions for one of the Lost in Space figures that just
recently hit the toy stores (the female figure...Don't remember her
name). In the description, the scalper blatantly said "These are
already hard to find!" Gee...I wonder why? :3
What was really funny was seeing the sudden flood of Xena I figures
that Toys R Us was closing out at $3.00 each. Very few of them
received any bids.
I haven't actually watched for much Apple stuff on eBay lately, though
a couple months ago I sold a IIe there (with 2 drives and a few other
pieces). The closing bid was around $35+ shipping. Unfortunately, I
seriously underestimated the shipping. I figured around $15 at the
most. Turned out to be about $30 to ship. :(
Oh well, at least she found a good home.
