     According to the docs, the game requires hard disk.

     If you have lots of RAM, maybe you could create a 2.6MB /RAM5,
transfer the 1.6MB file there via NULL modem and unShrink the files to
diskettes. Then, erase /RAM5 and copy the unShrinked Wolf-3D files from
diskette to /RAM5 (it takes about 2.5MB). If you have enough memory
left, I guess the game would be runnable from RAM disk.

     Probably, you will save a lot of bother by waiting until your new
HD is installed.
