Re: IIc and RGB Monitors

I have a Video Seven greyscale enhancer that connects to the back of the
IIC. Is this the same item described below, that sharpens the RGB color
monitor????

I have only connected the greyscale enhancer to green monochrome monitors.

If the item described below is different, then please describe it.

: Yes; perhaps the ending of the statement is unclear. What it tries
: to say is that, despite being plugged into the IIc+, GS monitor later
: worked fine once plugged into the GS. Also, despite having the GS
: monitor plugged in, the IIc+ later worked fine once a standard composite
: video monitor was plugged into it. That is, neither the GS monitor nor
: the IIc+ seems to have been damaged.

: Still, there is a kind of correction in order for the standard
: observation that the IIgs monitor is not at all compatible with the IIc.
: This claim implies that IIc users (like James) can 'forget it' when it
: comes to using GS monitors with a IIc; but, this appears to be
: incorrect.

: The following info was emailed to me:

: From: T. C.

: I use a IIc with a GS RGB monitor constantly through a Video 7 cable
: and it works fine. The 80 column text is crystal clear plus you can
: make
: it 4 different colors by flipping switches on the Video 7. ....

: You can buy the Video 7 at Alltech. The Video 7 demos (from a demo disk)
: include subscript and superscript which are so clear, you'd swear they
: were VGA. Since the IIc is a difgital setup the full 16 colors are nice
: through a digital monitor
: but the GS monitor still shows 8 although 2 colors are reversed.

: So; it looks like James may have a way to use his GS monitors with
: his IIc's after all.
