I've moved the card to slot 2, where it touches nothing, and I get the
same problems.  I thought a low-level format was supposed to lock out
bad sectors?  Anyway, if it matters, I've gotten these errors on
subsequent low-level formatting attempts (only one error each time):

Error #$0, Track 181, Head 3
Error #$0, Track 610, Head 3
Error #$0, Track 188, Head 1
Error #$0, Track 184, Head 0
Error #$0, Track 181, Head 2
Error #$0, Track 184, Head 3
Error #$0, Track 612, Head 2
Error #$0, Track 196, Head 0
Error #$0, Track 197, Head 2
