SHR conversions

 
I have a lot of SHR files (from Showoff program) that I would like to convert
to 640 standard palette for easy student use with Hyperstudio.
 
However, when I try Superconvert 3.01 with them,
I get the msg
 
$004D unexpected end of file
 
and so can't be loaded to convert.
Yet that are SHR files -- what gives?
Is there an easy way they can be "fixed"? I am trying to expand the range of
graphics available for student use: any ideas are appreciated!
