Except for a few programs like Appleworks most programs don't use Aux
slot RAM over 64k if at all. As I recall, if you have a RamWorks card
in your IIe, AppleWorks will use it and ignore the RamFactor.

Total RAM in the IIgs CDA menu only shows RAM in the Mem slot and
motherboard. A RamFactor would be seen as a RAMdisk and a not overly
fast one at that. When I was playing around I discovered I could boot
faster off my RamFast than off my RamFactor. I never compared but I
suspect my CFFA card and others would too.

The IIgs maxes out at 8mb. Putting an 8mb card in a ROM 3 causes 1mb
to be ignored. Not that many people bought 8mb cards because they
didn't have any need for more than 4mb. Come to think of it, there
aren't that many times when I need more than a 2mb card in a ROM 3
