Try looking up the folks at Washington Apple PI.  Their website has an
extensive listing of Apple III files and they run an active Users' Group,
even to sponsoring the development of an update to the operating system
a few years ago.
 
Their website is at something like www.wap.org
 
The leader of the III Users' Group is/was Dave Ottalini and
he was reachable at
 
Dave.Ottalini@tcs.wap.org
 
if I recall correctly.
