When you isolate a drive access problem to the drive mechanism, it
usually turns out to be dirty heads, drive speed, or head misalignment.
If the heads are cleaned via a Cleaner Diskette (e.g. a paper
diskette + cleaning solution kit from Radio Shack) and the drive still
does not work, you may need to do Speed and/or alignment adjustments.
Even if a drive is not properly aligned, you can do a Speed
adjustment using Copy II+'s VERIFY--> DRIVE SPEED function. Steve Buggie
is selling drive adjustment utility diskettes which can help you get a
drive aligned.
