Koala Pad and Numeric Keypad for //e

I just bought a Koala Pad model 005 for my //e. It appears
to plug into either the game port or the mouse port but
nothing happens on the screen with programs that support
a mouse. Does the Koala Pad require its own software?

I also bought an Apple numeric keypad, model A2M2003. It has
a 15 pin male connector which does not match anything on the
computer. This leads me to suspect that it requires a card.

Can anyone shed light on either of these accessories please?
