Cant help you on the Koala Pad, but the numeric keypad for a IIe has an 
11pin single row molex connector that plugs in on the motherboard, not 
the backplane.  The one you have may be for an early Mac.  Seems to me 
tho, that the Koala Pad works on the joystick inputs.
