Mmmm.  If I recall correctly, you have to bend one of the normally
"unused" pins so that it doesn't get into the Zip Sochet.

Bending one of those pins has no effect on a normal EEprom, but for some
reason (copy protection?) it prevents Apple2 roms from being read
correctly.
