Interesting... I have only seen a couple of 8bit boards that wouldn't work in a 
16 bit slot (and most of those were made prior to the AT). However, if you can 
safely determine that there are no traces or components running on the extra 
"leg", just break out a dremmel and cut the excess off. If there are traces or 
components there, dont do it.
